Thank God for friends and family. I just noticed my sz 24 clothes were really big. A friend told me she would buy me a pair of jeans for Christmas but I had to try them on. She said I was a sz 20. I told her no way.
Well she was right! Then I pulled out a sz 20 skirt and it fit too. And it was a straight skirt. I haven’t been this size since I was in my twenties. This year has been amazing. I am ecstatic! I hope you are too.
I did it. I’ve lost 200lbs. I have been hovering at between 195 & 197 for so long, I almost didn’t realize it when it happened. It has been a goal for so long, I’m surprised I didn’t have a bigger reaction. I still have 20 -25 lbs to go. I know it will happen.
Many of us are waiting at home for Sandy to hit full force. Think of this as a vacation to do things you have put off. But what ever you do, don’t let the munchies set you back!
I decided to read a junk novel, sort through my sweaters and plan for the rest of the year. I know the sweater thing sounds dull, but at the end of the winter I always find sweaters I forgot I had. Planning is probably the biggest thing. You don’t often get a chance to have time when you can’t leave the house!
Enjoy your time and your family. Be safe!

I thought I would share this with you. I kept waiting until I could say I have lost 200lbs,
but I have only lost 195. You would think 5lbs is nothing, but I think I am too busy enjoying my life to focus. It will happen soon. Stay tuned.

As soon as I said I was going to lose 50lbs, I was starving! Yes I did have a couple of stressful things happen, but really..
The best way to put an end to this is to get on the scale. It will give you a wake up call and keep any weight gain to a minimum. It made me get out of bed and go swimming this morning.

One of my favorites meals is Dannon yogurt with fruit on the bottom. I know there are better choices but hey, I like it.
The other day they didn’t have so I decided to try Greek yougurt. Here is the breakdown:
Brand Calories Protein Fat Sugar
Dannon w/fruit 150 6 1.5 27
Chobani 140 14 0 19
It may seem like I am only savings 10 calories but that is the net saving.
Cut the sugar 32(4×8) and added 32 in protein. The 10 calories saved is all fat. Over all I would say this is a great upgrade.
Now I only have to find a way to cut 490 more calories a day to reach my goal.

Sometimes life just gets the better of us. In the last few months, I have been doing seminars. Started a new business. Helped my daughter buy a house. Went on a cruise with my parents, my sister and my daughter. Had a new grandson. And still lost weight.
What I realized, is that I am not focusing on just losing weight any more. What I am focusing on is reaching my full potential. I want to be Healthy, Wealthy and Alive in 2011. I hope you will join me on this exciting exploration.
