I have been at a speaker’s conference for 3 days and my head hurts! I just wanted to warn you that over the next couple of days you would be getting some of the things I thought were important. Most of them will be questions and not answers. And I didn’t get to see the city except out of my window.

The first thing

I think the best thing was the women I met. It was fun to see the young and the not so young exchanging ideas and energy. It was interesting to hear where we had common ground. More exciting was the clarity they helped each other to reach. I discovered that my 4 classes are really connected and describe my journey. Getting out of your normal life can really open your eyes.

So try something different! What healthy choice have you made today? Let me know.

Being confused can be good. I know that sounds strange. But confusion is part of the change process. If things are staying the same, you are rarely confused. Confusion happens when you change and start to do things differently.

A Change Model

Change has 3 steps:
1. Endings of old ways or making room for new ways. This is the step that is often overlooked.
2. Neutral Zone where there is the push-pull between the old ways and the new ways. This causes confusion and a feeling of discomfort.
3. Beginnings of new ways and clarification. This is where we often try to start and have trouble.

So without confusion, you can’t get to clarification which leads to success. When I am feeling confused and discombobulated, I know I am making a great change. That means success is on the way!

Keep working through confusion and you will be successful. What healthy choice will you make today? Let me know.
